ISO9001

ISO 9001:2000 Obtained for Majority of MEP Products

As of 1997, Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics Corporation (MEP) had obtained certification for all of its polycarbonate molding compounds under the 1994 version of ISO 9001, the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO's) standard for quality management systems. On November 9, 2001, MEP obtained certification for the following molding compounds, which comprise the majority of its products in this category, under ISO 9001:2000, a revised version of ISO 9001:

PC (except Iupilon MB1700 and MB1800)
m-PPE
PAMXD6
POM
PBT

ISO 9001:2000 addresses all activities of an organization, demanding not only quality assurance for products, but also continual improvement of quality management systems and a focus on customer satisfaction. In line with the aims of the revised standard, MEP pledges to promote ongoing efforts to reinforce its quality management systems and its ability to meet customer requirements.
